- On faculty since 1997.
- Past positions: Ashland University (Ohio)and St. Lawrence University (New York), Asheville School (North Carolina), Proctor High School (New York).
- Teaches a wide array of courses in music history and theory and in the humanities.
- Served as guest conductor with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Elizabeth Schulze, music director and conductor in 2008.
- Served as conductor and music director for Center Stage Opera Company – Harrisburg,
- His “Psalm 23”, sung by the Schola Cantorum, appeared on the recently released compact disc, Voices of Hope and Comfort.
- Trained tenor, sung in productions of Der Fliegende Holländer with Cincinnati Opera (featuring James Morris) and Le Nozze di Figaro with the University of Cincinnati opera program.
- Special area of study: traditional music of Andalucía. Presentations offered to the Society for Ethnomusicology, the Foreign Service Institute of the U.S. State Department, the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, and the Free Univesity of Hydra, Greece.
- Degrees from the University of Cincinnati, the University of Illinois, and Hamilton College.
- Studied conducting with Elmer Thomas, Earl Rivers, John Leman, Paul Vermel, Ian Hobson, and Chester Alwes.
- Voice study with Jean-Ronald LaFond, Thomas Hauser, Susan Harwood, and Ronald Hedlund.
- Member of Cormorant’s Fancy, a local Celtic/Irish folk band and is into WWII reenacting!
